Where She Begins 10 — Day 254
With Where She Begins 10, I explore the moment when a woman’s form becomes recognisable within abstraction. The body offers a starting point, but the shapes invite other readings. Looking becomes a small act of discovery: we find a figure, follow a connection, then notice something that changes our first impression.
I am interested in keeping that exchange alive. My recent body studies give me forms to draw upon, while abstraction gives me room to transform them. Between the familiar and the imagined, the figure can remain present without every part of her being explained.
