Tender Commotion — Day 257
A body turns, and its outline seems to scatter into colour. A broad cream passage suggests an unfolding gesture, while deep blue shapes carry the eye down through peach, ochre, and pale grey. In Tender Commotion, the figure remains elusive: a shoulder, a bend, or a shifting balance appears briefly before becoming part of another shape.
I wanted to explore how the movement of a body could remain present within abstraction. The larger patches hold a sense of weight, while quick, tangled marks introduce small jolts of energy. Together, they suggest a body adjusting itself, stretching into the surrounding space, and finding a momentary balance before moving again.
