Today is a special day for the Apollo 365° A Poster A Day Design Challenge! I made poster #100. Yes, that’s me. I cannot believe I designed One Hundred Posters.
As a topic for today, I decided to use at least one hundred elements on the poster. And believe me, it was a bit tough and long.
The design
As a starting point, I added Apollo’s Picture and some text such as Apollo, 365… After that, I said 25 times Apollo’s hands, which made 100 fingers, and arranged them on the canvas. Later, I added geometric shapes like rectangles, circles, arrows, triangles… I also said Apollo’s Skull and Three Flowers because the poster lacked colors and an organic feeling.
As previously stated, the goal of this poster was to use 100 elements, whatever they were. So, the design consisted of arranging them on the layout and creating something consistent without feeling too much. That was the difficulty, and to avoid it, I imagined a way between the elements from the top left. The path follows an S shape, which brings the eye to the bottom right of the poster. That’s all!
