Ninety Nine Poster #99

I didn’t find any better name for poster #99 than Ninety Nine. What’s a creative name for the 99th poster?​

The design

If you think I didn’t use Apollo’s Statue to create the poster #99 you are wrong! The strange shape behind the huge numbers is a liquified version of Apollo. I know it is difficult to recognize him like that.

To realize the poster and after using the filter Liquify on Apollo, I add a colorful gradient above its face because he looks sick with his monotonous grey face. I duplicated the layer, add a radial blur filter. Before that, I filled the background with a light grey. Later, I started to play with vertical typography with the word “Apollo” with a transparent white rectangle behind.​

I tried to find the right solution for the typography. The reason why it took me times to deal with the font. I finally decided to mark the occasion of the poster’s number 99 by using a big Ninety Nine both number and letters.
