About the Poster
I am sad to let the poster mini-series “The Black Skull” fall. I want to continue exploring my ideas and see where they lead. That said, I may continue it one of these days. Why not?
I used vectors today, so I only started Inmate Poster with Illustrator because I hadn’t used it for a long time. I created a black square with a thick, white stroke. I added some lines inside and played with the Warp, Twirl, Pucker, Bloat, and Scallop Tools to see what I could do with them on the vectors.
I finally used the Twirl Tool on the shapes I made and tried different iterations until I was satisfied.
Once I liked the result, I imported the shape into Photoshop to see if playing with the Liquify Filter would produce a good result. It didn’t, so I finally added a red rectangle below the shape.
I have been thinking about elements to add to the canvas and finally realized that it was enough, so I stopped there.
Poster speed art
Please look at the speed art poster video #432; it will probably inspire or motivate you to create something.
I appreciate your presence, and I invite you to come back tomorrow. I will create poster #433! I already wonder how it will look.

Power Shutoff is the name of the song I used to accompany today’s poster. Craig MacArthur (YouTube) realized this song.
