Hidden Poster #287

Graphic creation where elements are hidden

These days, I am reading too many books that discuss topics other than graphic design. It is very refreshing and gives me the opportunity—yes, I use that word—to let my mind wander freely and forget my body—I still get hurt in my elbow.
That’s probably why I have more difficulties working these days. My reading absorbs me, and I only want to read more books!

Don’t worry! I am also addicted to graphic design, especially my self-imposed challenge to create a daily poster for one year. Today, I made “Hidden.”

The Design

Visual of the poster design number 287 Hidden

The idea behind poster number 287 was simple. I woke up this morning, and I wanted to create a poster in which I hide elements between gradients. I don’t know where this idea came from. Maybe I am watching too much Pinterest (here’s the link to my account!).

Or, I read too much. I didn’t read a book about gradients; this is strange!
To accomplish my day wish, I opened Photoshop, placed the picture of Apollo, added a background gradient plus a significant title, and set a new Adjustment Layer under Gradient Map. Then, I selected a gradient color I had previously made. Yes, I was lazy enough to choose two colors. They work well together, and that’s the only important thing.
