I didn’t know what to create, so I mixed two topics I liked: Space and Ice Cream. It makes me laugh to think about such a fun and crazy subject to create Poster number 267. I know, I don’t need a lot to laugh.
The Design
I started designing the poster with a lot of enthusiasm. I generated a Gradient Type set under Noise, which made a beautiful, colorful gradient full of different colors as a background.
Then, I used the shortcut Command T, pushed Control, and chose Warp in the list. It shows a grid that allows you to modify the rectangle. I modified the rectangle to a strange shape and duplicated the layer to apply a Gaussian Blur and a High Pass in another layer. I repeated some of these operations on the top and bottom of my layers. The trick here is to find the right combination of blend modes layering.
To finish the poster, I repeated the process I had made on the “Ice Cream” to the white and black round shapes I had arranged on the “Ice Cream.” I also added typography, but the result didn’t convince me. I tried to think of a solution and had to repeat the same process I used on the colorful shape. The result of the types is abstract and unreadable. Is that important or necessary? The only letter you can notice is the extended part of the letter O in the bottom right.

Here is the speed art video of the poster Galactic Ice Cream for the 267 times. Please take a look to see what and how I did it. I am sure that you will find something interesting to watch!
I’ll see you tomorrow to discover the style of poster number 268!
