The second day of the weekend is another day that I spend working on my client project. There are many things to do about many little details. It is becoming complicated and complex at the same time. I think I am overthinking the project. I should rest and breathe well to come back with fresh ideas. You know, nothing will stop me from creating a poster a day. I started this year, and I will finish them all, probably more, but nothing is sure. So, today, I realized that Poster #265.
The Design
I wanted to use a small Apollo today. I also wanted him to cut it, too. It was like that; it was a secret wish when I started designing the poster. Except for those two wishes, I didn’t know what I would do. So, I started duplicating the layout’s information, which had been in the corner since I began Apollo 365°. I duplicated it many times and superimposed it on each other with a slight shift all the way long.
After doing that as a crazy man, I wrote the title “Apollo” on the canvas, added a rectangle behind, and searched for a color that would fit my aspiring ideas. I found this fluorescent green at the bottom of the Pantone colors that I shouldn’t use. Don’t worry—I know that. I was just too lazy to search for a color by myself. So, I decided to choose the ready-to-use option. It was much easier than spending an hour trying to find the perfect color.
Finally, I like this neon green and its brightness. It contrasts nicely with the few black elements on the canvas and the light grey used as a background. I should work one or two hours more to elaborate on a better design. I don’t have the time to do so!
Speed Art Poster #265
The Capto app is practical and straightforward to use. Working with such a well-made and thoughtful app is an absolute pleasure. Because of Capto, you will enjoy watching me work on the speed art video #265 Flucto. Everything is on the video!
It was the same when Photoshop didn’t want to register my file and showed me the colorful wheel for hours. Photoshop finally didn’t register the project and forced me to start re-designing the poster one step back.
So, look at the video, and don’t forget to come tomorrow to discover the style of poster #266! Have a nice day!
