Blue Circle Poster #82

Here is the poster number 82. It is an abstract — except for Apollo’s head — pink and blue experimentation made with Photoshop.

The design

I start by adding​ a pink background​. Then, I create a new layer and draw curved lines with a pencil to transform ​them as a new shape. I change its blend mode to​ obtaining​ the result on the left of the poster. I add a big gradient rectangle in blue color from 100% opacity to 0%. I play with apollo’s face and its blend mode, add some white rectangle and lines for finally create the blue circle. I duplicated some times its layer and ​some colors that I distort. I add a lighting effect on the blue circle and change its blend mode again.

I let my intuition and my feeling guide myself to design this poster. It was an intuitive process same if playing with blend mode over other blend modes​ can be tough to obtain the result you want once you finish experimentation and find something which works well.
