Here is the poster number 82. It is an abstract — except for Apollo’s head — pink and blue experimentation made with Photoshop.
The design
I start by adding a pink background. Then, I create a new layer and draw curved lines with a pencil to transform them as a new shape. I change its blend mode to obtaining the result on the left of the poster. I add a big gradient rectangle in blue color from 100% opacity to 0%. I play with apollo’s face and its blend mode, add some white rectangle and lines for finally create the blue circle. I duplicated some times its layer and some colors that I distort. I add a lighting effect on the blue circle and change its blend mode again.
I let my intuition and my feeling guide myself to design this poster. It was an intuitive process same if playing with blend mode over other blend modes can be tough to obtain the result you want once you finish experimentation and find something which works well.
Speed Art Poster #82
Another nice day having fun designing a poster. I really enjoy this poster design challenge that I titled Apollo 365° because it is very challenging and I am already afraid about the day it will end!
Here is the Speed Art Video where you can watching me working. See you tomorrow for the poster #83!
