Compound geometric shapes realized with many vector areas and effect

About the Poster

I created the weirdest geometric shape to realize today’s poster. I knew I would duplicate and rotate the shape four times to create a symmetrical piece, which means it doesn’t matter if the shapes aren’t symmetrical.
I spent a long time in Illustrator merging shapes and removing anchor points. This time-consuming process made me think I had to find a different approach to realize this task faster, and why not better, too?

Once I finished the form in Illustrator, I imported it into Photoshop and started to add the rectangles with a white stroke that I made pass upside down the hole of the shape.
The rest is pretty simple. I used Photoshop Filters to create pixelated and blurry effects. If you want to know more about that, see the picture below!

Poster speed art

The video is faster than usual; let me know on YouTube if the result is ok.
I’ll see you tomorrow to discover Atomic Geometry number 6!
Have a nice day!

Music Credit

I edited the video with a song I recently used. It is called Whirlpool Chaser and was made by The Grey Room. You already know them, right? If not, take a look at their YouTube channel!
