Horizon Poster #246

Another day where I can breathe a little bit and take a few moments for myself, same under the pressure of other jobs. Today I played with the Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur.

The Design

Before start designing today’s poster, I was thinking about creating a vector design with types and geometric forms. I was about to make that until I hit the button Filter. On this basis, I changed the creative direction of my design to fork in a different way.

I Followed the option of Photoshop Blending Mode and decided to use the Gaussian Blur Filter. The idea is simple and easy to implement. I duplicated three times the picture of Apollo, created a vector shape with the Pen Tool that I also duplicated, and put one above and another behind Apollo to create a subtle and immersive 3D effect.

I Repeated this operation on the bottom and top of the three Apollo. I passed the first picture of Apollo under a Gaussian Blur Filter with a high value and the one in the bottom with a low value. Like that, I give the focus in the Apollo in the middle.
