Weightless Figure 2

by Severino Canepa | Jun 18, 2026

Weightless Figure 2 continues the exploration of the human form reduced to gesture, movement, and atmosphere. Delicate blue, turquoise, grey, and orange marks drift across the surface, suggesting a body that is present yet constantly dissolving into space. The composition balances structure and absence, allowing the viewer to complete the figure through perception rather than definition.

The flowing lines evoke motion, breath, and suspension, as if the subject exists in a state between emergence and disappearance. Rather than describing anatomy, the painting focuses on sensation: the feeling of lightness, fluidity, and the shifting boundaries between body and environment. Through minimal marks and open space, the work invites contemplation of presence, fragility, and the quiet energy contained within movement.
