About the Poster
I must admit that I didn’t care about the cut-out part of the head on today’s poster. It was easy, and I forgot to remove the background in Blender 2.8. Please don’t ask why; I can only say that I forgot.
Oh! I bought the skull somewhere on the internet—I didn’t create it! It is essential to let you know that I am not a 3D specialist, even though I am starting to do quite well with this excellent software.
After generating the picture with Blender, I imported the file into Photoshop. I tried some easy and rough cut-outs on the skull. Once satisfied, I duplicated the skull layer and applied some adjustment layers to make it stand out. To accentuate the 3D effect, I used a High Pass above the original layer.
To finish the poster, I cut some parts of the skull and duplicated them above the face. I also added a Gaussian Blur effect on a shape painted with a dark color above to create an immersive visual.
Then, I added small geometric forms such as crosses, squares, and rectangles filled with the blue-to-red gradient. Done!
Poster speed art
I cut the Blender part of the video tutorial because it wasn’t instructive or interesting—I forgot!
Meet me tomorrow for poster #423.
