I hesitated to create a poster about the First day of Spring or my daughter’s second birthday. The first seems interesting to me, but not to my wife.
The design
Russian constructivism strongly inspired me when designing this poster, from the colors to the global style. I made it from memory. If you are a graphic designer interested in design history, this poster will remind you of something.
The Design is minimalist. It makes full use of colors and typography, and the photomontage of the crying baby—not my daughter—coupled with Apollo’s Statue is funny—of course, seeing a baby crying is not amusing! The photomontage also adds noise and texture. I reinforced this idea by giving the typography and the form behind a perspective. It’s louder, and the message is easier to understand. Thank you, Russian Constructivism, for the help!
Speed Art Poster #172
My back still hurts, but it was my daughter’s second birthday, so I had to celebrate it as well as I could!
So, I gave her this small gift I hope she will enjoy. When she noticed the baby earlier, she made the noise of a crying baby.
As usual, I made a speed art video, and I invite you to watch it and, if possible, draw inspiration from it. Have a nice day, and see you tomorrow for poster #173!
