Static Geometry 17

Static Geometry 17, Day 168 explores the tension between structure and atmosphere through broad, expressive brushstrokes and a carefully balanced palette. Vibrant pinks and cool blues dominate the composition, meeting in a central vertical form that suggests an architectural presence without fully revealing itself. Layers of white, gray, and deep navy create visual weight around the edges, framing the luminous center and guiding the viewer through shifting fields of color.

The painting investigates how simple geometric relationships can emerge from spontaneous mark-making. Energetic gestures overlap and dissolve into one another, producing a sense of movement while maintaining an underlying stability. The contrast between soft pastel tones and darker accents creates depth, inviting the eye to discover new shapes, pathways, and interpretations with each viewing.

Part of the Static Geometry series, this work continues an exploration of abstraction, balance, and perception, where geometry is implied rather than defined, and structure emerges through the interaction of color, gesture, and space.
