I leave my comfort zone by using and dealing with weird shapes and effects in Photoshop to create poster design #79. The poster’s title is explicit; he defines 80% of the look and what kind of result I will get by choosing this theme. I tried to visually translate what I imagined that happened deep under the sea.
The design of Sea Lava
I had no idea what I would design on the poster #79. So, I started to create like a robot working in a chain work job because I know ideas come by doing — designing stuff. And they finally came a moment later when I started transforming Apollo’s picture and obtaining nutty results. I made a background with Apollo’s face abstraction. I deal with geometric shapes that I transform. After I apply blending mode over a Gaussian blur, this excellent light effect over the shapes is generated.
Sea Lava Speed Art Poster #79
I hope you will enjoy watching me work on this poster because it will motivate you to do something your way. I go from something wrong to something good. Through this speed art video, you can see my process, how I work, and how the ideas came to me.
See you tomorrow for the number 79!
