The last isometric designs of the Rounded Edges mini-series were made today. I have to tell you that I am sad I finished this poster mini-series. I realize I enjoy finding a way to fit grids, solve problems with them, or break them sometimes. But that is nearly impossible with isometric designs.
The Design
Still, the same process and shapes are used with vectors in Adobe Illustrator. If you get tired of those isometric posters, you are lucky because today is number ten. In other words, I said I would make ten posters for every new mini-series. I have to tell you that I am a bit sad about ending them because I had a lot of fun creating them. Everything should end.
The idea behind this poster was to generate a sense of depth. So, I started on the top left by creating shapes and finished on the bottom right with more significant forms. The result is nice, and the poster nicely drives the eyes from the top to the bottom of the canvas. I arranged the forms as a path for the eyes from top to bottom.
Speed Art Poster #216
I am in my hotel in Shanghai, and it is late. I have already traveled for 6 hours to get there. I will fly to Switzerland tomorrow, and I can tell you I won’t have much time to design a poster. Besides, the jet lag won’t help me.
Whatever my excuses, I made speed art poster number 216 without any problem this time. Take a look at it and let me know if you like it. I’ll see you tomorrow for a new poster design, number 217!
