Promise Poster #264

Presentation image of the poster design Promise

Today is Saturday. I don’t want to work. The wind is strong outside. The windows tremble and let it pass between the small open spaces. I am struggling to start working on my customer project, but I am late, and they are undecided about some details. I must satisfy them and explore beyond that, too. Other than this, I created Poster #264.

The Design

Visual of the abstract creation number 264 Promise

This poster is an escapism about a heavy burden I have made. It is the kind of thing you can’t forget and is almost unforgivable because it is so heavy and silly. It was colorful and joyful for the first time, but after you wake up, you notice you did something wrong. The more you think about it, the more it becomes black.

Yes, it is! This poster is the visual representation of a silly I own. I created a round geometric shape with a gradient to return to the visual. I duplicated the shape and set a blend mode. One more time, I duplicated this round and applied a Gaussian Blur Filter that I put behind the two first layers.

I merged the three layers, hit Command + T, Control, and selected the option Warp in the window. Then, I manipulated the shape until I found a new form that looked visually interesting. I repeated this process for each form. Later, I added the fond, a little pattern made of dots that I enlarged and shrunk here, to finish by adding different variations of a typeface between the forms.

Speed Art Poster #264

The app IshowU was an absolute disaster for me. I am too lazy now to insert a link to the new app I bought today, but I can, at least, give you her name. This recording app—she can do much more—is Capto. The app worked well, and I quickly made my speed art poster video.

Thank you for checking my work! It is nice to see you here. I invite you to take a look at poster number 265 tomorrow!
