Another good spatial poster design comes from the deep and dark universe. This poster uses photo manipulation, gradients, geometric form, and typography. I cover a lot of different kinds of stuff.
The Design
After a good and long sleep, I was fresh enough to start Orbital Poster under the best auspices. I wanted to create a photo compositing with the picture of Apollo as a central piece of my design—with the rule to use this picture. I can’t do anything else.
I set a dark grey background and imported the picture of Apollo. I cut parts of Apollo, duplicated them, and disposed of them to generate a sense of detachment and weightlessness.
I added a shadow to the Apollo pieces and cut its eye and forehead.
The rest of the design is as usual. Test what looks good and care about the basics of Graphic Design. Refine, step back, modify, and try over and over until you get something satisfying. Then, start this process over and over.
Speed Art Poster #188
It was a fantastic day designing a poster, carrying my daughter, playing basketball, and working!
Don’t worry! I found the time to create a speed art poster, and you can watch me working on this poster.
Thank you for reading, and see you tomorrow for poster number 189.
