This early morning, I closed the alarm clock and fell asleep again. When I finally woke up, it was time to start designing my daily poster. Fortunately, this experience motivated me to create something awesome.
The Design
Yesterday, I took a quick look at the new features Adobe brings to Photoshop. It looked great, and today, I used the premade gradients to create the poster. I’m using this as a rule to help elaborate on today’s poster.
I start by creating a background that I fill with a red-to-blue gradient. I place Apollo on the top bottom of the poster, duplicate it on the top, and one more time on its right. Then, I add a rectangle with a black stroke and a red-to-yellow gradient. I wrote the title in black inside, added some lines on the right, and duplicated the rectangle.
I created a geometric shape on the bottom right with a shadow behind it and a highlight on the top. I also created a black pattern of dots and squares that I cut over by creating a geometric shape.
I played with many different elements and colors; if you want to know how I made everything from the start to the end, take a look at the video of the timelapse video below.
