I have never been so busy since I started the Apollo 365° Project. It feels good, and it will end soon. So, I will find some time to increase the quality of my poster. I know this is fantastic news!
The Design
As often with Apollo 365° posters, I didn’t know what to do before opening Photoshop and choosing one of the pictures I got. I chose Apollo’s skull because I hadn’t used this picture for a long time, and I thought it would be a good idea to inspire myself. I need to do and learn new things these days! I want to change and grow my designer’s skills.
When you have experience with this, finding things you don’t know isn’t easy. Read a book, yes, why not? There is maybe 80% —I want to stay modest — of information.
Regarding today’s poster, I got the simple idea of mixing Apollo’s skull in front of the same picture but with a larger Pixelate Filter applied. I also used a transparent gradient around the first picture to integrate it with the image behind it.
I Did the same with the font, wrote my title, duplicated the layer, and applied a Pixelate filter. I did that several times with different settings to avoid repetition. I used the same process with a black-and-white gradient and a pink-red to light-blue gradient that I applied above.
Speed Art Poster #262
Aside from work, I only did two things today: shower and shaving my beard! I only want to go to bed now!
Regarding video #261, I did something wrong and still don’t know what. The video shows a smaller screen, and I am sorry about that! Today, you can look at speed art video #262 without being disturbed by any mistakes I have made before. The quality is fine, and the size is too! See you tomorrow for poster #263! Have a lovely evening!
