Yup! Today is my birthday!
This morning, my wife told me, “It is the birthday of one of my students , too.” Should I take it badly?
After waking up, eating breakfast, and drinking water, I started to design my birthday poster.
The Design
When I opened Photoshop, I first thought about my project and my birthday. I didn’t want to see it happen—one year in my face in one day, getting older and older. Therefore, I hide Apollo’s eyes by covering them with its texture. Who wants to get old?
After covering its eyes, I add text that I repeat up and down the statue. I realized the eyes could be more precise; I did it too fast. Because I duplicated the title “Happy Birthday,” I did so with Apollo on the top and the bottom of the canvas, as well as my ancient age, 34, and my new age, 35.
Then, I added a thin line representing the path I made and the transition of my birthday with a circle, representing the significant steps of my way. About the two shiny organic red and blue shapes, I don’t know. I like red, and I like blue, too. After all, it is my birthday, so I can do whatever I want, right?
Speed Art Poster #315
Every day since 2019 started—one time only—I have had a video editing problem, something I can’t solve—so I made the speed art video tutorial. You can check it and tell me what you think about it. Or if something isn’t clear about what I did, you can ask me a question.
I see you tomorrow for poster 316!
Have a nice day!
