About the Poster
Today was a day when I had to make choices about the topic of my poster. The first option I got was about the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The second choice was about my wife’s birthday. It was not a hard choice, but I had to decide. As you see, I chose my wife’s birthday to celebrate love and the couple’s life.
I have wanted to play with more text for a long time. My English is still imperfect; long sentences or complex thinking are difficult to translate. Today, I tried the exercise and wrote any sentence and words that came to mind.
I deliberately let the color sober by using a minimalist color palette of two colors. Pink and purple. I also used a mono font, so don’t ask why I felt it this way. I wanted the look of the poster to be sweet and smooth. While writing about the design, when it was too late to change something, I noticed that I should play more with the title by enlarging the size of the letter, cutting the words, and letting them appear here and there around the text.
