Graphic Oddity Poster #357

by | Dec 24, 2019

Wake up late and feel tired in a cold room without any air conditioner or way to warm it, is not so enjoyable. After wake-up, mean some seconds after leaving my quilt, I eat some fruit, care my daughter, and then, start to design today’s poster.

The Design

Like many Posters I did before, I didn’t know what I will do with today’s design. Once I opened Photoshop and my recording software, I still didn’t know what I will do. As usual, I set a background and place the picture of Apollo — which is maybe not a good idea — on the canvas.

Then, I added the title with a contracted version, a rectangle behind it, and after that, I added many other geometric shapes everywhere.

The difficulty of the poster is to select the right color and mix each other — I should review my color theory or learn deeper about that!
After created many elements, one of the problems I had, was to deal with the proportions and the placement. After created many geometric shapes together, I started to think and create connections between each of them.

Speed Art Poster #357

It is a playful design and you can take a look at the speed art video tutorial to watch me working on this poster.
