For the February 10th, 2019, poster Design, I wanted to explore more strange forms and colors, as I did for Poster #5, Dali’s Birds, where I explored geometric shapes with the new gradient tool in Illustrator and went a bit further.
I set up a black background. Then, I started to create shapes with the pen tool, filling them with color and painting them with different colors or shades. I applied a blur filter to a duplicated layer of the shape to add a light effect that emanates from it.
I repeated this process by playing with different blend modes to create extra depth.

The pen tool is a mechanical process that must be repeatedly repeated to achieve the final result. Making this poster was fantastic; as usual, I had a lot of fun working with Photoshop.

I hope you will enjoy watching me work on poster #48. I will see you tomorrow for poster #49!
