Coronavirus 4 Poster #410

About the Poster

First, I generated new pictures of the coronavirus in Blender 2.8 to have more different cells to play within Photoshop. Ok, the lighting effects are the same on every cell, that doesn’t change anything on the visual, that don’t make it look bad or weird. The reason I didn’t create a canvas in Blender is that I don’t master blender. I am far to have the requested skills to create something interesting entirely in this 3D software.

After I imported the files of my cells in Photoshop; I applied to them some Adjustment Filters, such as Levels and Hue/Saturation. Then, I tried to find an acceptable placement for each to generate an interesting layout within the canvas by playing with sizes and white space.

I found the right colors for the background by playing with the Blending Mode Exclusion. Before that, I created a radial gradient made with the cell’s colors and put a white rectangle over set with Exclusion to help me find the right color.

At that time, I insert the text into the poster. I was playing with dimensions of the letter and its variation to bring distances in between the cells. I tried several times to find the right combination of my elements and decided to create something more structured. I place the cells on the top and bottom of the canvas, and the text in the center.

Later, when I finished the poster, I noticed that the first composition I created was nice enough to make a poster; it only needs more work on the cells and color treatment. So, I already make 50% of tomorrow’s poster because I will use the fist composition I realized today.

Poster speed art

As usual, here is the speed art video where you will be able to watch me working from Blender to Photoshop.
Tomorrow, I will create the poster number 411, don’t forget to take a look!
Have a nice day!

Music Credit

The song I use today is titled Lucid Haze and has been made by Amulets (Youtube). It is the second day I use a music from Amulets because this song perfectly match the mini-series with its dramatic music.
