Day 15,
I built the image like a wall of notifications: pictograms, chat bubbles, hashtags, fragments of phrases—signals piling up the way they do on a screen. Red acts like a constant alert, an emotional background that spills over. At the center, a reaction-heart glows, but it doesn’t necessarily create a real connection: it too is just a notification, a “like.” The security camera and the eye/vortex remind us that this connection is also exposure: we show ourselves, we measure ourselves, we watch ourselves—and sometimes we judge, cheat, and perform. “CONNECTED / ALONE” isn’t a contradiction: it’s a state. A way to point to the flattened, often meaningless relationship we maintain with our screens and the internet.
