Black Semaphore 3

Black Semaphore 3 continues the exploration of visual communication through reduction, contrast, and structure. Built from a network of black fields interrupted by white, gray, and red rectangles, the composition resembles a coded language whose meaning remains deliberately unresolved.

The work balances order and disruption. Large geometric blocks establish a sense of stability, while the smaller red elements function as signals, interruptions, or markers within the visual rhythm. The deep black spaces act as pauses between forms, allowing each shape to assert its presence while contributing to the overall tension of the piece.

Created as part of a daily practice, this artwork explores how simple geometric relationships can generate complexity, movement, and psychological depth. Rather than describing a specific object or place, the painting invites viewers to navigate a system of visual cues and construct their own interpretation from the fragments presented before them.
