Black Semaphore 2

Black Semaphore 2 continues the exploration of visual language through reduction, rhythm, and interruption. Built from floating rectangles and imperfect frames, the composition resembles fragments of signals attempting to organize themselves within a dark field. The red forms punctuate the silence like warnings, markers, or coded transmissions emerging from the void.

The work plays with balance and instability at the same time. Some shapes appear anchored, while others feel suspended or displaced, creating a tension between structure and collapse. The rough edges and uneven outlines preserve the human gesture behind the geometry, preventing the composition from becoming purely mechanical.

Rather than presenting a fixed meaning, the painting behaves like a fragmented system of communication — partial instructions, interrupted messages, or architectural memories reduced to symbols. The black negative space becomes as important as the painted forms themselves, allowing emptiness to function as rhythm, pause, and pressure.
