The poster creation number two of the freshly created mini-series named Aurora Graphics.
The Design

As you will notice in the video below, I started this poster pretty severely. I painted circles with the Brush Tool and played with them with the Filter Liquify. I tried to give them a color effect and tried many different blending modes without finding the perfect setting until I did something very dark.
Then, I started over, using Apollo’s picture to liquefy it and find an elegant form to compose with. I added some blend mode and a Gaussian Blur background behind the form to suggest a distance.
After that, I added a large font. This poster’s principal challenge was finding the right balance between the colors.
Speed Art Poster #177
I had some new difficulties registering my Quicktime Player files on my computer. Please don’t ask me why, because I didn’t understand why. So, I found a way to make Speed Art Video number 177 about today’s poster creation.
Come back tomorrow for poster 178!
