Apollo 13 Purple Oddyssey

Today I was searching a topic for my Poster Design of the day and the information I found shocked me. In the year 1943 Total War was declared by a German Politician. It’s so scary!

After discover the previously stated information I was about to create a red background with a white O and a black cross inside…
I felt it can be a remind about a tragic event in human history and take a stand against fascism but rather ambiguous concept and too sensitive.

That said, I started to create freely without any topic in mind. I experiment some colors, shapes, layers and try halftone on Apollo’s picture. After finish the design the name Purple Odyssey came to my mind. I also remind that odd can means strange. I play with words by mixing Odd and Odyssey together…
