Anatomy of a Gust 5 — Day 267

Yellow and coral flare at the upper right, as though a gust has caught the last warmth of the day. Below, navy strokes gather into a dense, restless mass, crossed by pale blue, grey, and olive gestures. In Anatomy of a Gust 5, long diagonals carry the eye between these different temperatures, while the open white space at the upper left offers a sudden breath. My eye keeps returning to that opening, as though the colours might still be carried into it.
