Residual Phosphenes is an abstract expressionist painting created through a process of intuition, gesture, and visual discovery. Working with my eyes closed at moments during its creation, I reinterpreted shapes and forms that emerged from layers of color, allowing instinct rather than observation to guide the composition.

Dense passages of violet, blue, and yellow interact across the canvas, generating a dynamic field of movement, energy, and hidden imagery. Exploring the relationship between perception, memory, and the subconscious, the work invites viewers to discover their own forms and narratives within its layered surface.
