I heard the alarm clock this morning. I was too tired to open it and continue to sleep. These days, I play basketball alone, running, jumping, and working on my footwork to perfect my practice.
The Design
It’s another day, and I have no idea what today’s poster will look like. I think I have to sketch before opening Photoshop, which is the correct design method and the usual step most graphic designers follow.
Why do I don’t always do it? Because I have the stupid idea that I am faster with Photoshop than with a pen. Okay, when you become skilled after using the software for a long time, you are more rapid with shortcuts. You know what you want and how to execute the idea you have in mind.
But using a pen opens you to another word that is not digitalized and can take you in a direction you cannot imagine behind your screen.
So, I designed the poster in a moment. After selecting the font, Photoshop quit just like that. I opened Photoshop again and started it over, which was very annoying.
I like today’s poster and think I might start a new mini-series. Nothing is sure for now, but I want to investigate more by playing with the geometric forms. The effect is nice and engaging; this style has many possibilities.
