Retrometric Poster #247

Firstly, I have to admit that I am not satisfied with today’s creation. Secondly, I go too far into the design to let it fall, and I tried to make it seems better without being able to do so. It looks not that bad, but it can be a better design.

The Design

Yesterday I said that I wanted to create a vector and typography-based poster, but I didn’t. So, I made it today with Retrometric. Only vector elements such as geometric forms and typography here and here.

I was happy with the color when I saw and imported them from a picture on Pinterest, but after made the Poster I am not so proud anymore. They work relatively well, and they looks good together. What is disturbing me is the fact that I used the easy way to go with the poster. The result is that I spent more time trying to mix the right amount of color on the canvas than really think about creating something interesting. I was thinking I am saving time, but in final, I did the reverse.

Now that I have a bit step back, the poster looks nice and correct. It’s like usually, I should spend much more time on the project. You know how life happens right?

Speed Art Poster #247

Today was a good day except that I got hurt playing basketball on my elbow. If no, I am fine, don’t worry!

The Speed Art Video #245 is like usually, available on my youtube channel. Take a look and see you tomorrow for the next poster!
