Memory Echo is a work created with charcoal, graphite leads, and pencil, sometimes used flat, rubbed, and rotated directly against the paper in order to explore the full richness of its materiality. In this piece, I combined rapid, incisive marks born from the urgency of the gesture with softer, more reflective interventions that help shape the overall composition.
This work originates in a search for aesthetic balance and in a desire to bring new forms into being. It is also part of an experimental approach centered on the application of different media, the richness of gray tones, and the expressive potential of paper as a surface for creation.
