In Arc of Return, the geometric construction begins as an exercise in calm: assembling, balancing, breathing. But the more the composition settles, the more constraining the process becomes. Each intervention can restart the whole and put the relationships between forms back into play.
Every addition is a decision that simultaneously involves color, space, scale, and position. The painting moves forward by solving visual problems: I adjust, I correct, I sometimes accept the deviation, until a living coherence emerges.
