A Manifesto of Creative Freedom
Art is about freedom. The freedom to experiment, to take risks, and to express yourself in ways that feel true to who you are. This is the essence of my project, Inkubateur. Originally, the name came from blending two simple words—Ink and Cube—as a nod to the idea of an incubator: a place where ideas are born, nurtured, and allowed to grow into something new. But as it turns out, the name Inkubateur was already taken. Instead of letting that stop me, I embraced the challenge, keeping the name and its meaning close to my heart.
For me, Inkubateur is more than just a project—it’s a space to break free from the ordinary and push the boundaries of what’s possible. It’s where I bring my creative vision to life, through a simple yet endlessly fascinating shape: the cube.
I’ve always found it funny (and liberating) to take something three-dimensional and represent it in two dimensions. There’s a certain magic in creating an illusion on paper—a cube that’s not really a cube at all, but a playful trick of the eye. In that illusion lies the freedom to explore, the freedom to create without rules, and the freedom to blend the unexpected.
Where Creativity Takes Shape
The idea behind Inkubateur is simple: to build a unique visual language, one that blends the innocent, bubbly charm of Kawaii art with the gritty, raw energy of underground comics. I’m not confined to one style, one tradition, or one aesthetic. Instead, I mix and match, bringing together contrasting influences and seeing where they can take me. The result is an evolving visual voice, one that is still growing, still experimenting, and always searching for new ways to tell stories.
The cube is my canvas, my base, and my challenge. But more importantly, it’s my question. How many different ways can I interpret this simple shape? How far can I take the concept of the cube before it starts to feel like I’ve explored it all? Is it infinite, or do I hit a limit?
For me, the cube is endless. Every new cube I create sparks fresh possibilities, new directions, and unexpected twists. It’s not just a static object—it’s a living, breathing part of my creative journey. Each version of the cube feels like a step into something deeper, a new layer of the visual language I’m building. There are no rules, no boundaries, just endless opportunities for discovery.
L’inkubateur is my invitation to dive into the unknown, to create freely, and to build a visual world that’s entirely my own. It’s a playground for my imagination, where I can take risks, push limits, and explore what happens when two-dimensional art meets the infinite potential of three-dimensional thinking. It’s about freedom in creation, and the constant joy of discovering new ways to express myself.
