Orbital Poster #188

Another good and spatial Poster Design coming from the deep and dark universe. Photo-manipulation, gradient, geometric form, and typography. In this poster, I cover a lot of different kinds of stuff.

The Design

After a good and long sleeping night, I was fresh enough to start Orbital poster under the best auspices. I wanted to create a photo compositing with the picture of Apollo as a central piece of my design — with the rule to use this picture, can’t do something else.

I set a dark grey background, import the picture of Apollo. I cut parts of Apollo, duplicate them and dispose of them to generate a kind of detachment and weightlessness.
I added shadow to the pieces of Apollo and start to cut its eye and forehead.

For the rest of the design, it’s as usual. Test what looks good and care about the basics of Graphic Design. Refine, step back, modify, try over and over until you are getting something satisfying. And then, start this process over, and over.

Speed Art Poster #185

It was an awesome day spending designing a poster, carrying my daughter, playing basketball, and work!

Don’t worry! I found the time to create a speed art poster, and you can watch me working on this poster.

Thank you for reading and see you tomorrow for poster number 189.
